Mass Extinction | Talk by Melanie Wrigley

at Urban Room Folkestone, One the Plaza, Tram Road Car Park, Folkestone

There have been five mass extinctions on Earth through geological time and at each one over 75% of all species were lost. It’s not always known what caused them, but most had something to do with rapid climate change. The International Union for Conservation of Nature’s Red List of Threatened Species states that about 38% of current species assessed are at threat. Human activity has started the sixth Mass Extinction.

Join ecologist Melanie Wrigley of the White Cliffs Countryside Partnership to find out what can be done.
