Greg Taylor

Working as a project manager, Greg Taylor has delivered a variety of arts & community-based projects in Folkestone and surrounding areas. Greg was a Neighbourhood History Researcher for the Folkestone Gasworks History Project (part of Pioneering Places: East Kent), which combined archival research with significant community engagement to understand the development of the area around the gasworks site over time, and the significance of the site itself in the history of Folkestone. He was also project manager of the Creative Folkestone Triennial 2021 artwork, ‘Fortune Here’.

Greg works for the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty to deliver the Cross-Channel Geopark, with the goal of gaining UNESCO Global Geopark status. He also works with Folkestone Fringe, focusing on impact & evaluation, and is the UK administrator for the Institute for Public Art.

Greg has a particular research interest in housing, having written his MA dissertation on affordable housing provision in the UK with a case study of Shepway.
